Green Recipes ~ Homemade Hand Scrub

– 2 teaspoons of coconut oil (make sure its extra virgin coconut oil!)

– 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar

*This mixture makes a small amount that will last about 3 scrubs. You can double or triple to make a fuller container.

Directions:

– Mix it all up.

– Using 1 teaspoon full of the mixture, scrub over the sink.

– Rinse

– Store the remainder of the mixture in a small tupperware container with a tight seal.

Your hands will feel silky smooth with a smooth light layer of oil that will make the water bead up on your hands.

Monday Moments ~ Cluster Feedings

Some mothers are concerned when their baby wants to breastfeed more often than every two hours. During the early months, many babies do what is called ‘cluster feeding’ which is spacing feedings closer together at certain times of the day (typically during the evening) and going longer between feedings at other times. This variability in frequency is normal. Moreover, many breastfeeding problems — including those attributed to “too much milk” or “not enough milk” — are resolved with more frequent nursing.

The art of mothering…motherhood is an art, did you know that?

When a woman becomes a mother for the very first time, it’s like an artist sitting in front of a blank canvas picturing something beautiful to paint.

When your child is placed in your arms for the very first time, he or she is a blank canvas waiting for you to paint with love, understanding, protection and trust. As your child grows, so do you. As you “paint” your child’s world, they are also painting yours.

There is nothing more beautiful than the colorful portrait of a child gracefully reflected in the eyes of their mother.
